February 6th 2008
We are now one day closer to getting this construction underway. We were suppose to be starting today, but once again these wonderful weather people can't seem to get the weather right! We had the truck come quite early this morning with a truck loaded with wood. Amazing that all that wood will be our new addition. It now covers our front yard and driveway. It looks like a lumber store outside. Can't wait until tomorrow to hear the noise of our future...The kids are getting so excited to see what it is actually going to look like. We have been talking about it for so long, but I don't think they really understand what it is going to be like. They keep saying "Now we are going to have a bathroom upstairs like gram and pap." I have attached some pictures of todays adventure. Thanks for stopping by!

This has nothing to do with construction, but I thought it was so cute...Gonna go teach Lady this one!

Well at 8:21am our first delivery truck pulled up today. It was the roof. We chose a Barkwood color for the roof. Matches the Peeblestone Clay siding we will be doing. The kids we so excited to see that "piggy back" pull the pallets off the truck into the driveway.
Than after that our windows arrived. 9 really big windows! Than the rain came down like cats and dogs. Why do people say that? Anyway.
Well we were told that Wednesday would be the rip off, but it doesn't look like Mother Nature is being very cooperative with us this week. We shall see. We are all very anxious to get started and now with all this stuff sitting in the driveway it makes is so surreal!!! Ok thats all for now, Brendan is home with a tummy ache today, so I will let you know more as it happens.

Well we had an exciting weekend moving furniture from one room to another, trying to make it all fit! We put all the kids in our bedroom. They are really excited, Brendan thinks it's like a big sleep over. And Mike and I are now in the boys room. We have such nice teddy bear border now. It's tight, but cozy...The cats don't know where to go at this point but will adjust.

YEAH!! So this weekend for Superbowl Sunday we will be moving furniture all over to make way for the big trucks. Please pray for good, no great weather for next week. Talk soon. Anyone with construction advice, please let us know. Don't keep secrets!
Don't forget...LETS GO GIANTS!!!

Mike and I went down to the Town of Brookhaven for our variance hearing. This was the biggest waste of time. It was a 2 month wait for the hearing date, to sit in the meeting room and wait an hour for them to ask Mike 3 questions and to vote on it, Guess what They were all in favor!!!

Well we finally got the phone call we have been waiting for, WE got our Permits from the Town Of Brookhaven. It has been a long wait but the time is finally here...Our building contractor, Billy is coming today (1/31/08) to sit down with Mike and I and go over what is going to happen first. Now the fun begins!
Here is what the house looks like as of January 31, 2008. Will keep you posted as we go along. Wish us luck!

Been a while since I have last posted on this. forgot my password. We are all doing well. Everyone is growing faster than I can blink. The Christmas season is finally upon us again! Brendan is now in full swing of the 1st grade a loving it. Thomas is the Godfather of Pre-K and Shawn & Emily are home spending some free time with Mommy. We are in the middle of getting ready to put a second floor on our house, but of course you know the Town of Brookhaven is playing there games to get more money out of use. What else is new. Move the shed, remove the sunroom, take the deck down, bunch of crap if you as me. So when we finally get finished I will have one less headache and a heck of a lot more to clean. Happy Holidays to all of you. Here are some new pictures of the kids

Hello there everyone. Here is an update on how Shawn and Emily are doing as of their 18 month check up...
Shawn is now 19 lbs and 31.25 inches tall. He is finally starting to say a couple of words and he climbs all over the place.
Emily is now 19.4 lbs and 31 inches (she still looks taller to me!) anyway, she is talking up a storm and boy does she have that little girl attitude...Everything is "No" or "Don't".
They definately have the "TWIN THING" going on and it is really cute to watch.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the cold weather. Talk to you all soon!!
KISSY FACE!!!

We spent the holiday traveling here and there so it was really exhausting. The kids had a great time opening lots of gifts and seeing the family. It was really nice to spend the holidays with the family. We are blessed to have everyone. other than that, we all seem to have coughs or runny noses...FUN! We stayed home for New Years Eve and spent some time with our neighbor, Adrienne. Tomorrow is back to work and school for everyone. Wish you all a happy and healthy new year and NO MORE DICK CLARK NEXT YEAR!
